Shazma Shaban, MSN, ACNP-BC, is a dedicated and compassionate nurse practitioner with a strong academic background and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Belmont University, graduating Cum Laude with honors in leadership, and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Acute Care at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.
Shazma brings more than a decade of advanced clinical experience to AiG, including ten years serving as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with the Emergency General Surgery team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Throughout her career, she has cared for patients with complex acute medical and surgical conditions, performing comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes. Her clinical approach emphasizes compassion, communication, and evidence-based care while ensuring patients and families feel informed and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Shazma has been actively involved in leadership, education, and professional development initiatives throughout her career. She has served on Vanderbilt’s Advanced Practice Leadership Board and Advanced Practice Council, worked as a certified instructor for Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS), and mentored future nurses and nurse practitioners through multiple preceptor and tutoring roles. Her dedication to excellence, leadership, and patient advocacy makes her a valuable addition to AiG and a trusted partner in her patients’ health and wellness journey.
