About Dr. Chandran

Dr. Aswathi Chandran is a dedicated and compassionate gastroenterologist with dual board certifications in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. She completed her Gastroenterology fellowship training at the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, gaining hands-on experience at world-class institutions like Memorial Hermann Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital.

Dr. Chandran has had the privilege of learning from leading experts in gastroenterology and hepatology, and her research contributions have earned her several published works in the field. She specializes in managing complex GI issues, including inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal disorders, and liver diseases. As an active member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Gastroenterology and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, she stays at the forefront of the latest medical advancements, ensuring her patients receive the highest standard of care and brings a wealth of expertise to Associates in Gastroenterology.

Beyond her professional life, Dr. Chandran enjoys discovering new culinary delights, reading, traveling, and cherishing time with her family and friends. She currently resides in Nashville with her husband, Nandith, and their son, Ari.

With her years of experience, including a successful tenure in Bowling Green, KY, where she was highly regarded by her patients, Dr. Chandran is excited to bring her patient-centered approach to gastroenterology to her new clinic.
